Most photographers fight the dark. I've learned to let it in. An underexposed frame asks the viewer to lean forward, to fill the blacks with what they imagine is there — and what they imagine is nearly always more interesting than what I could have lit.

I've spent the last decade chasing available light. Not the easy kind — the hard, unforgiving kind that carves a face into planes of shadow and reveals more than it hides.
My work sits at the intersection of portraiture and narrative. Every frame is a question: what does this person carry that they're not saying? The camera doesn't answer — it just holds the silence long enough for something true to surface.
I work slowly, with minimal gear, and I never use a flash. The light is already there. You just have to wait for it.
